Description
Since the Middle Ages, the small town of Stahlheim has been crossed by the most important connecting route between Oslo and Bergen, which became the first postal route in 1647. At the highest point of the route, a postal station was set up at about 300 metres, which can now be seen in the open-air museum in Stalheim.
From a hotel where the German Emperor Wilhelm II spent 25 summers at a time, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the neighbouring Nærøytal.
